Description

Abstract
"目前二維條碼種類很多,不同機構開發出的二維條碼具有不同的結構以及編碼、讀取方式。 二維條碼被廣泛的應用於嵌入訊息中,使得人們能夠透過行動裝置中的條碼掃描器擷取條碼來獲 得資訊。在過去,各式樣條碼產生器的快速崛起,所產生的條碼通常是缺少視覺語意的黑白樣式, 因此有藝術家和設計師把它變換成其它顏色或花樣,例如圖像或商標轉換成美化版之二維條碼。 近幾年,有研究人員試圖賦予二維條碼美學的元素,使得二維條碼的美化被制定為一個最佳化問 題,在可接受的解碼率之條件下將視覺失真降到最低,然而現有自動化方法所產生美觀的二維條 碼,其視覺效果仍有很大改進空間。於本次二年計劃中,主要研究重心由以下幾項所組成:  提出一個兩階段的方法來產生出具有高品質視覺內容的二維條碼,在第一階段中,利用高斯 約旦消去法合成出一個具有高可讀性但視覺品質較差的基礎二維條碼,第二階段中,建立渲 染機制來改善視覺品質,同時避免影響二維條碼的可讀性。  以雲彩紋圖騰為基礎建構出具有藝術風格之靜態圖像,亦可合成出具有動態錯覺之動畫;此 靜態圖像與動態動畫可以與二維條碼生成時作結合,產生出能靜能動之雲彩紋二維條碼。  將把海洋魚類圖騰轉換成雲彩紋圖騰風格且與二維條碼作結合,來建立海洋魚類資料庫,資 料內容包含了魚類的名稱、物種解說、圖片圖像及基因序列等各種資料;此雲彩紋風格之海 洋魚類二維條碼產生系統可以有效生成各種專用魚類二維條碼,能夠用於魚類介紹,亦能夠 在視覺上強調形式表達主題之二維條碼。 此計畫預計在第一年 (2017/8/1~2018/7/31) 建構出二維條碼之美化渲染系統,第二年 (2018/8/1~2019/7/31) 建構出雲彩紋風格二維條碼之生成系統。""There are many types of matrix barcode now. The matrix barcodes developed by different institutions have different structures and encoding modes. Matrix barcodes are widely used in embedded messages and enable people to retrieve information from matrix barcodes by using barcode scanners of mobile devices. In the past, the matrix barcodes were usually produced by combining black and white patterns so the matrix barcodes lack visual semantics. Therefore, the artists or designers have tried to change the appearance of the matrix barcode to some extent and beautify the matrix code by adding aesthetic elements or recognizable visual content. In recent years, some researchers have tried to add aesthetics elements into the matrix barcode and the matrix barcode beautification has been formulated as an optimization problem that minimizes visual distortion at acceptable decoding rate. However, the visual quality of the matrix barcode generated by existing methods still leaves much to be desired. In this two-year plan, the main research focuses are described by the following components.  A two-stage method will be proposed to generate the matrix barcode with high-quality visual content. In the first stage, the Gaussian-Jordan elimination method will be used to synthesize a basic matrix barcode with high readability but poor visual quality. In the second stage, a rendering mechanism will be established to improve the visual quality while avoiding the effect of the readability of the matrix barcode.  We will build a technique for generating moiré style images. Moreover, we will also endow the matrix barcode with moiré patterns. In addition, the marine fish images will be automatically transformed into moiré style patterns combined with matrix barcode to build a database of marine fishes. The embedded information of marine fish in the matrix barcode includes the name of the fish, species interpretation, and gene sequences, etc.; the resulting matrix barcode can serve a moiré style barcode that not only provides useful aids for fish instruction but also visually emphasizes the presentation of a theme in a matrix barcode. This project will be expected to construct a rendering system of matrix barcode beautification in the first year (2017/8/1 to 2018/7/31) and build a moiré-based barcode generation system in the second year (2018/8/1 to 2019/7/31)"
