"國際海事組織數十年來己訂立許多有關船舶航行安全的法規，但海難事件依然常發生。表示這些海難發生的原因之一，是由於船員的不安全行為，而這些行為並不能通過既有的法規或國際公約來避免。本研究建立在社會交換，安全氣候和組織公民理論的基礎上，提出了一個組織行為面的綜合模型，以建立船公司的安全公民行為。本研究將以船員為問卷調查的對象，以解釋船長和船員間領導-成員交換變數和船員之間的團隊 -成員交換變數如何影響船員的安全公民行為。此外，也檢視安全氣候對領導-成員交換變數與團隊-成員交換變數和船員安全公民行為之間關係的干擾作用。這項研究將有助於了解領導-成員交換、團隊- 成員交換、安全氣候和安全公民行為變數對海上航行安全和理論的實際影響。"
"This research builds on the theories of social exchange, safety climate, and organizational citizenship in proposing an integrated model to explain how the quality of social exchange relationships between a captain and crew members (leader-member exchange; LMX) and among crew members (team-member exchange; TMX) affect seafarers' safety citizenship behaviors. Further, the moderating effect of safety climate on the relationships between LMX, TMX, and seafarers' safety citizenship behaviors will be examined. Data for this research will be collected using a questionnaire survey from seafarers working onboard in shipping companies. This research will contribute to the practical implications on maritime safety and theoretical implications for both safety research and social exchange theory such as LMX and TMX."
