本計畫係交通部運輸研究所考量金門水頭商港與九宮碼頭陸續完工啟用，為提昇金門地區海域之航行及遊憩安全，並配合已經建置及執行之臺灣近海海象預報系統(Taicoms)，及延續103年所完成之金門水域海象觀測及預報模式等研究成果，持續針對海象預報系統之作業化部分進行相關改進，以期達到提供即時海象資訊的目標。該系統之遠期目標係提供金門地區水域之波浪及潮流之預報，並配合現場即時波潮流觀測系統之資料整理與發佈，將可提供當地從事海上航行或海上活動之參考，進而提升其安全與預警效能。此外本計畫並進行湧浪分析模式之應用，建立與調校水頭商港之港灣波動模式，以及金門水域暴潮模式之建立等工作。 Following up the accomplishment of Shuitou Port and Jiugung Port in Kinmen, The Institute of Transportation, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, had established a forecast system named as Kinmen Oceanography Prediction System (KOPS) about wave and tidal current conditions and a field observation system around Kinmen water zone in 2014 to enhance the safety of marine transportations and costal recreation. In this year, the major target is to merge the system into the operational TaiCOMS system. The major works of this 12 months project include the merging of the KOPS system and TaiCOMS system, the application of swell analysis, the establishment of harbor tranquility of Suitou Port, and the establishment of storm surge prediction model of Kinmen area.
