Corticotropin-releasing Hormone(CRH)是由下視丘所合成分泌的重要腦激素，主要的作用是調控腦下垂體合成分泌腎上腺素刺激素(adrencorticotropic hormone)，進而促進腎上腺分泌皮質醇，以調節動物對環境之適應作用，因此CRH是至為重要的激素。本研究目的為選殖並探討CRH與CRH receptor基因表現與石斑緊迫反應之關係。 Corticotropin-releasing Hormone(CRH) is considered as an important brain hormone related to stress physiology in animals. CRH controls the expression and release of pituitary ACTH which is also closely related to stress response in animals. The exact function in fish is still not clear. The objectives were to clone CRH and CRH receptor gene in grouper. The relationship between CRH/CRH receptor and cold-/handling-stress will be also studied.
