Description

Abstract
"因為一些實際山峰地形的斷面形狀趨近於三角形,所以以往的凸起地形與地震波互制之研究中, 簡化的三角形山峰模型常被拿來作為理論解析或數值方法計算的研究對象。三角形山峰主要又可分為 等腰三角形山峰及不等腰三角形山峰兩種,其中等腰三角形山峰的問題已有許多研究,而不等腰三角 形山峰的情況研究較少,尤其是以理論解析。因此Lin et al. (2010) 依照Qiu & Liu (2005) 的「領域分 割」方式,並利用複變函數法,對「不等腰三角形山峰引起的SH 波散射」進行理論解析。然而Qiu & Liu (2005) 之「領域分割」方式所得的結果,與Sánchez-Sesma et al. (1982) 給出的結果有所出入,因 此可知Lin et al. (2010) 採用的「領域分割」方式並不恰當。而且我們發現不等腰三角形的「領域分割」 方式,無法依照等腰三角形的「領域分割」方式分割。另外,Lin et al. (2010) 的計算結果在波入射方 向的位移振幅不是在2 的地方上下振盪,明顯不合理。因此,本年度擬以《不等腰三角形山峰引致SH 波散射問題之研究》為計畫,期能透過「領域媒親技巧」的使用,搭配適當的「領域分割」策略,來 求解這個問題。本計畫所得到的解,是前人所未曾正確得到過的,我們所得到的數值計算結果可作為 各種數值方法驗證的依據,有助於學術研究的發展及相關人才的培育,除此之外,對於防減震工程也 會有幫助的,降低地震災害、減少地震災害造成的經濟損失。" "Because some real mountain topographies are similar to triangles in cross-section, the simplified models with triangular shape are adopted frequently in numerical/theoretical studies pertaining to interaction between convex topographies and seismic waves. There are two general types of triangular hill, that is, isosceles and scalene triangular hills. Studies related to scalene triangular hills appear to have been few in number in comparison with those related to isosceles triangular hills. In particular, there are much fewer researches on scalene triangular hills using theoretical approaches. Following the strategy of domain decomposition proposed by Qiu & Liu (2005), Lin et al. (2010) utilized the complex-function method to solve the problem on scattering of SH waves by a scalene triangular hill. However, the results shown in the work of Qiu & Liu (2005) are distinct from those in Sánchez-Sesma et al. (1982). Consequently, the strategy of domain decomposition used by Lin et al. (2010) is inappropriate. We found that the strategy of domain decomposition used for problems involving isosceles triangular hills does not work for those involving scalene triangular hills. Besides, the computed results given by Lin et al. (2010) are obviously unreasonable because displacement amplitudes of incident waves are not oscillatory around the value of two. In view of above points, this project is mainly aimed at exploring the problem of SH-wave scattering induced by a scalene triangular hill. The region-matching technique, together with a suitable strategy of domain decomposition, is adopted to deal with this issue. The solution obtained from this project is unique and provide helpful validation data for various numerical methods. The proposed solution will be helpful to personnel training and the development of academic researches. The proposed results can serve as a useful reference to pertinent investigations in earthquake resistance and reduction of engineering structures."
