Description

Abstract
"台灣地處於環太平洋地震帶,地震相關研究顯得十分重要。申請人投入振 動與計算力學相關研已超過30 年,深感普羅大眾在地震與振動之相關知識的不 足,故有此計畫之構思。主持人所帶領的海洋大學力學聲響振動研究室團隊自 2008 年利用Mathematica 符號運算軟體繪製一維波動動畫後,獲科技部與教育 部補助結合大學課程製作一系列波傳與結構動畫。延續先前動畫製作之成功經 驗,本計畫擬以國中小生為教育對象,製作波動與阻尼原理之相關科普動畫。 並以台北101 大樓的制振阻尼系統為實例,示範相關原理與現象。希望透過淺 顯易懂的動畫內容,讓國中小學生能夠對地震工程產生興趣。如此,防災與抗 震之教育將能往下紮根。最後,擬以此系列Mathematica 軟體之數學模型,建構 一個數值振動台。進而取代現場實驗,減少金錢與時間成本之支出。讓此套軟 體除教育應用外,另具有商業價值。 " "Since Taiwan is located in the Pacific Ring of Fire, the researches about earthquakes are very important issues. The PI has investigated in the vibration problems and computational mechanics for more than thirty years and found that most people have less knowledge on the earthquake and vibration, so we will propose this proposal. The PI’s group of NTOU/MSV laboratory animated the one-dimensional wave phenomenon by using the Mathmatica software since 2008 [CAEE, 2008, Vol.17 (3), pp.323-339], Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Education have supported NTOU/MSV to animate the wave phenomenon and vibration of structures. Following the successful experiences, this project will focus on various simulations of the wave and damper for students in high and elementary schools. The main tuned mass damper of Taipei 101 building will be taken as an example for the demonstration of theorem and practice. We expect that students of high and elementary schools could develop an interest in the earthquake engineering by using these clear and simple simulations. By this way, educations of the disaster prevention and against earthquakes will be developed. Finally, we will extend mathematical models and programs of the Methmatica software to make a numerical vibrator. Instead of using a real experiment, it saves the cost of money and time. Not only the academic education but also engineering practice may be feasible."
