Description

Abstract
The automobile fuel control system has to provide precise air-fuel ratio (AFR) to lower the engine emissions. The objective of this study is to apply PWM technique to AFR control of an LPG engine with a switch-type EGO sensor. Experimental results indicate that PWM control can reduce the amplitude of limit cycles associated with the switch-type sensor. Tuning the parameters of the feed-forward controller results in good transient AFR response.
