" 海洋資源的開發和研究，一直為本校的發展重點。在『生命科學院』下，養殖系所、食品科學系所、生物科技所和海洋生物所皆有開設關於胚胎發育、魚病、免疫學、蛋白質表現和純化、蛋白質化學、海洋生物的鑑定和培育、生物技術學等等課程，教師們也參予相關的研究計畫。為讓高中職教師有機會接受尖端科技知識，整合『生命科學院』師資，參予生物技術領域,並以海洋生物技術為重點。以基隆地區高中職教師為招生對像,包含基隆高中、基隆女中、暖暖高中、二信高中、基隆海事高職等校為主。招生修課人數不限,但修研究專題人數以10 人為限。課程 1 .生物科技與產業 2 學分 2 .分子細胞生物實驗 1 學分 3 .疫苗開發技術實驗 1 學分 4 .基因轉殖技術實驗 1 學分 5 . 水產病毒檢測實驗 1 學分 6 .生技專題研究 1 學分 1 - 5 為暑期課程,實驗課36 小時各為期一週。可擇一有興趣課程修習。這計畫整合海洋大學生命科學院和水產生物科技頂尖研究中心,相關師資與設備,提供基隆地區高中職教師接觸與參予生物科技之發展。 " " College of Life Sciences has three departments (Department of Food science, Department of Aquaculture, and Department of Life Science), two institutes (Institute of Marine Biology, and Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology). To educate and train students as professionals biotechnology and is to apply scientific principles to meet the requirements of today's society and industries, Biotechnology Education and Research Center (BERC) has established. BERC provides an integrated program across departments offering field including Biotechnology, development biology, bioinformation, immunology, protein science, and marine biotechnology. In this project, we offer the advance courses of biotechnology to high school teacher around area of Keelung. The courses are including 1. Biotechnology and bio-industry 2. Experiments in molecular and cellular biology 3. Gene transfer in marine biotechnology 4. Vaccine: development and application 5. Diagnosis in marine virus 6. Project research in biotechnology This project will provide high school teachers to study the professional biotechnological courses and offer short-term training courses for them to promote their ability in the biotechnological experiments.
