Abstract
五株不同黏性菌落表現海洋附著性細菌與二株重要海洋附著性酵母菌在玻璃片附著實驗中之交互影響,實驗結果顯示細菌菌株大致皆較附著性酵母菌易於附著至玻璃片上。在本實驗中所測得之培養過程中之酵母菌與細菌之表面疏水性變化與對附著交互影響,似乎尚無法歸納出適當的結論,此部份的實驗工作應需要投入更多的時間與研究人力。至於具有產生aggregating mucous 菌落之Moraxella sp. strain YEA28,該菌株的胞外黏性物質 (EAS) 的生產經由初步探討的個別影響因子的試驗中,所得試驗結果顯示該菌株之EAS 產量已能從0.11 g/L 提升到2.18 g/L,未來應可以此為基礎,繼續謀求增加strain YEA28產生EAS的最適條件。 In a series experiments involved five marine biofouling bacterial strains and two marine biofouling yeast strains that attached to the glass slide in the independent or interacting incubation protocols, the results indicated that the marine biofouling bacteria are better than marine biofouling yeasts on the performance on the attachment to the glass slide in the most experiments conducted. As to the cellular surface hydrophobicity of the bacteria and yeasts tested in the following experiments, there seems not enough data to make suitable conclusion so far. Therefore, more research works were necessary on this topic to obtain more results to fine out the relationship between cellular surface hydrophobicity and microbial attachment on solid surface. The aggregating mucous colony producing strain, Moraxella sp. strain YEA28, was studied on the production of its extracellular adhesive substance (EAS). The individual factors that may affect EAS production of strain YEA28 was tested. The highest EAS yield could reach now is 2.18 g/L broth, while this strain was incubated at 26.degree.C for 72 hr. And more trials are needed to develop higher yield of the EAS production from strain YEA28 for future EAS study.
