本計畫預計透過自行組裝之遠端大地電磁觀測系統，提供高品質的大地電磁觀測資料，以及海底電磁波儀測試工作。觀測系統具備遠端遙控、低功耗、資料儲存空間大、衛星同步及高穩定性等優點。預期作為海、陸域大地電磁測勘之遠端參考站及探討台灣地區磁場與地震之間的關聯性研究。自行組裝之大地電磁觀測系統，已先後於澎湖、花蓮及宜蘭等地完成資料收集與分析工作。初步結果顯示，自行組裝的資料品質已接近商業化大地電磁及磁場觀測設備。海底電磁波儀已完成兩次近岸測試工作，評估已達野外實地布放與回收標準，將擇期進行海域電磁資料收集工作。 The project aims to assemble a remote control MT observation system to provide high quality MT data and testing Ocean Bottom Electromagnetic (OBEM) system. The advantages of the system are low-power consumption, large data storage space, satellite synchronization and high stability. The observatory data can be applied to onshore and offshore MT surveys of remote reference station, variations of magnetic field associated with earthquake phenomenon. The MT observation system has been tested in Penghu Island, Hualien and Ilan regions, respectively. The preliminary result shows that the data quality is close to commercial facilities. OBEM has been twice tested near offshore. The OBEM could be arranged in offshore field deployment in near future.
