Description

Abstract
(一)、我國在三大洋混獲鯊魚資源風險評估 一、 三大洋區所混獲中大型鯊魚種類脊椎骨的蒐集。 二、 三大洋區所混獲中大型鯊魚種類脊椎骨的處理及保存。 三、 太平洋及大西洋區灰鯖鮫成長參數的推估。 四、 太平洋區主要鯊魚魚種生態風險評估。 (二)、三大洋主要鯊魚漁獲魚種歷史漁獲量推估及CPUE標準化之研究 本研究將針對以下研究項目進行研究: (1) 整理歷年來海上觀察員所記錄之鋸鋒齒鮫及灰鯖鮫混獲資料,進行該兩魚種歷年的漁獲量和單位努力漁獲量(CPUE)的估計,(2) 針對觀察員於大西洋,太平洋及印度洋所記錄之混獲資料進行分析,估計主要混獲鯊魚種類之漁獲量,同時並估計以國外及以國內為基地之小型鮪延繩釣隻鯊魚漁獲量。 (三)、遠洋鮪釣漁業混獲生態相關物種研究 遠洋漁業混獲生態相關物種已成為國際區域性漁業組織關切以及保育的焦點,包括ICCAT, IATTC, IOTC, CCSBT, WCPFC均通過相關決議要求各國應該提供混獲物種混獲資訊。台灣自2002開始執行觀察員計畫並自2005起利用觀察員資料分析混獲物種之混獲率以及狀況,並呼應國際區域性漁業組織之要求,提供相關資料。 本計畫擬採用2004-2012觀察員資料,就三大洋海鳥及海龜混獲做深入之探討,並與之前年度比較,探討各洋區海鳥海龜混獲率變化以及混獲熱點,並配合相關國際漁業組織相關科學會議之要求,提供相關資訊,俾尋求減少混獲之道。 (1)、Ecological risk assessment of bycatch sharks by Taiwanese fisheries caught in three oceans 1. Collect vertebrae of median and large bycatch shark species in three oceans; 2. Process and store vertebrae of median and large bycatch shark species in three oceans; 3. Estimate growth parameters of short mako sharks in atlantic and Pacific Oceans; 4. Ecological risk assessment of main bycatch sharks in Pacific Ocean. (2)、Estimation of historical catches and standardization of CPUEs for dominant sharks in three oceans The objectives of this study are (1) estimate the historical catch and CPUE of the blue and shortfin mako sharks in the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Ocean according to the observers' records, (2) estimate the catch of major shark by-catch species based on the observers' records, the shark by-catch of both foreign based and domestic based small tuna longliners will also be estimated. (3)、Research on Incidental Catch of Ecological Related Species by Taiwanese Distant Water Tuna Longline Fisheries Bycatch of ecological related species, such as seabirds, sea turtles, became the major concern of many regional fisheries management organizations. ICCAT, IATTC, IOTC, CCSBT and WCPFC adopted many recommendations/resolutions to request members to provide bycatch information. Taiwan started observer program since 2002 and conduct analysis on bycatch species since 2005. Recalling to RFMOs request, Taiwan provided related researches as well. This research aims to using the observer data in the period of 2004 to 2012, to investigate the bycatch situation of seabirds, including to estimate bycatch rate, bycatch numbers and finding hotspots. In addition, we will collect references from other research, and compare with the results in previous years. The results will provide to RFMOs if appropriate.
