Abstract
本研究首次在臺灣東北角海域進行溶解態及顆粒態初級生產力 (DPP and PPP) 季節性變化的調查。研究期間介於2018年1月至2019年4月 之間,以每月一至二次頻率在基隆沿岸進行光合作用—光反應曲線 (photosynthesis-irradiance curve; PB-E),並得到光合參數最大 光合作用速率 (PBm) 與初始斜率 (alpha)。結果顯示,顆粒態初級 生產力的PBm 介於4.10至22.60 mgC (mgChl)-1 hr-1之間;而 alpha 則介於0.0083至0.0541 mgC (mgChl)-1 hr-1 (uE m-2 s-1)- 1之間。溶解態初級生產力的PBm 介於1.56 至18.25 mgC (mgChl)-1 hr-1之間;而 alpha 則介於0.0033至0.0198 mgC (mgChl)-1 hr-1 (uE m-2 s-1)-1之間。 顆粒態初級生產力介於8.10 至122.79 mgC m-3 d-1,而溶解態初級 生產則介於2.84至98.55 mgC m-2 d-1之間。總體上來說,顆粒態初 級生產力在各個季節皆大於溶解態初級生產力,但有著相似的季節 性變化:亦即高生產力出現在夏末秋初的八、九月;而冬季則呈現 較低的生產力。胞外釋放百分比 (Percent Extracellular Release; PER = DPP/(DPP+PPP)) 介於17至45% 之間,但無明顯的 季節性變化。 Marine primary production is considered the ultimate organic carbon source in the ocean. Particulate primary production (PPP) is usually transferred to higher trophic levels through grazing, whereas dissolved primary production (DPP) may drive the microbial loop. This study investigated both PPP and DPP in the coast of the subtropical northwestern Pacific from January 2018 to April 2019. Total of 42 photosynthesis-irradiance (P-E) curves and photosynthetic parameters (maximum photosynthetic rate [PBm] and initial slope [alpha]) for DPP and PPP were obtained. The results showed that the PBm and alpha of the PPP were higher than those of the DPP. The PBm and alpha of the PPP ranged from 4.10 to 22.60 mgC (mgChl)-1 h-1 and from 0.0083 to 0.0541 mgC (mgChl)-1 h-1 (μE m-2 s-1)-1, respectively. For the PBm and alpha of the DPP ranged from 1.56 to 18.25 mgC (mgChl)-1 h-1 and from 0.0033 to 0.0198 mgC (mgChl)-1 h-1 (μEm-2 s-1)-1, respectively. The daily PPP was generally higher than DPP. The daily PPP ranged from 8.10 to 122.79 mgC m-3 d-1, while the daily DPP ranged from 2.84 to 98.55 mgC m-3 d-1. Daily PPP and DPP both peaked during the late summer and the early autumn, indicating irradiance could be an important controlling factor for primary production. However, the percentage of extracellular release (PER; =DPP/TPP) showed no significant seasonal difference in the range between 17 to 45%. The factors affecting the PER variations need further investigations
