Description

Abstract
The nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations in the Danshuei River Eestuary (DRE), an eutrophic estuary, were extremely high and the ammonium concentration could exceed 500 M in the upper estuary. Previous studies in the DRE generally focused on the dissolved inorganic N, including ammonium, nitrite and nitrate. There rarely had the data of the dissolved organic N (DON), particulate inorganic N (PIN) and organic N (PON), as well as the sedimentary N in the DRE. For better understanding the geochemical cycle of nitrogen in the DRE, it is necessary to establish these data because the N transformation not only occurs in the inorganic and organic species, but also occurs between the dissolved and particulate phases within the DRE. In addition, the diffusion from pore water of the sediment into the water column may also occur during the diagenetic process. These processes will influence the N species and interfere their distributions within the DRE. Thus, the present project will seasonally investigate the all N species, as mentioned above, to depict the whole picture of N geochemical cycle within the DRE. 淡水河河口海域為一含氮磷濃度很高的優養化河口海域,尤其是其上游氨氮濃度可高達500 M以上,氮污染相當嚴重,以往的研究大都著重在溶解態無機氮(含氨氮、亞硝酸鹽、硝酸鹽)的調查分析,對於懸浮態氮及沉積物氮的了解有限,因此無法建立較完整的淡水河河口海域氮的地化循環知識。由鑑於此,本人109年的研究計畫為淡水河口海域氮元素地球化學循環研究,藉由每季在淡水河口海域從上游採樣至下游,進行水樣各氮物種的分析,包括溶解態無機氮(含氨氮、亞硝酸鹽、硝酸鹽)及有機氮,懸浮態無機及有機氮,與沉積物氮分析,懸浮態無機及有機碳亦進行分析,此外為瞭解沉積物中氮元素之濃度分佈與間隙水之擴散通量,此計畫也預計在淡水河上中下游採幾根岩芯,調查岩芯中氮物種之分佈,並利用 Fick First Law 計算氮之擴散通量,期望藉由這些完整的各氮物種資料,建構出淡水河河口海域氮元素的地球化學循環。
