雲林縣口湖鄉海岸帶因自然環境與氣候變遷，致使當地居民面臨漂沙、綠能發展、海水溫度改變與海岸污染等多重因素之交互影響，不僅改變口湖鄉海岸帶漁業現況，同時對其自然、社會和經濟環境產生衝擊。本研究藉由整合型研究計畫將自然科學與人文社會結合，使教師能將知識與社會問題連結並實踐，為回應全球永續發展行動與國際接軌，同時兼顧在地化的發展需要，本研究結合永續發展目標（SDG）14與11，並基於共有資源（Commons）、人類與生態系統（Ecosystems）互動方式以及生態永續框架（SLF），透過永續管理漁業、養殖業與休閒漁業，協助口湖鄉養殖業者面對環境變遷進行養殖漁業調適治理與產業發展策略。
