一百多年前就有人提出利用海洋產生能源的構想，但直到中東戰爭發生，油價開始高漲引發能源危機後，海洋能才逐漸受到重視。海洋能蘊藏量龐大，又有潔淨環保與穩定性高的優勢，但因分配不均、輸運困難、能量密度低，以致雖然多年來科學家們提出許多擷取海洋能的方式，都需配合特殊海洋環境條件僅在少數地方適用，並且因為擷取成本高，但都難讓海洋能取代傳統能源，所以才需培養學子海洋能的知識，引發探索的興趣，產生創意，讓海洋能的發展與應用有所突破，為本計畫的動機與目的。本計畫是藉由海洋大學歷年針對大專生舉辦海洋能源相關競賽的經驗，結合與北部幾所高中自然科老師，針對一般與偏遠地區國高中師生，以「海洋能」為主題的工作坊、探索營、研習營與闖關式科普活動，來推廣「海洋能」的相關知識與概念，以引發創意構想。 Also the concept of using ocean energy was proposed one hundred years ago, but until a war of the Middle East finish, the high oil price had damaged the global economic, then the ocean energy attach to importance. The ocean can produce thermal energy from the sun's heat, and mechanical energy from the tides and waves. Oceans cover more than 70% of Earth's surface, making them the world's largest solar collectors. The energy of carrying capacity in ocean is monumental, an eco-friendly, environmentally friendly, high stability, but high capitalized cost. So, the ocean energy can't replace the traditional energy. To providing students be interesting and creative is the aim of the project. We would like to propose to continue NTOU's experiences and achievements. To executing idea workshop in charge of educating seeding teachers, compiling course materials and holding teaching workshop and technology training camp to help promote the knowledge of ocean energy to all the students. Let them full of creativity.
