本研究擬針對共存於相同的海域的深海狐鮫與淺海狐鮫的攝食偏好、時空分布及棲地分配利用進行深入探討。本研究將利用肌肉穩定性同位素分析針對δ13C與δ15N，探討性別、漁期、成熟階段及交互因子之影響，並估計兩物種之生態區位寬度及區位重疊度。同時，利用脊椎骨穩定性同位素分析，探討其不同生活史階段攝食偏好及棲地利用及分配情形，並進一步估計其在海洋生態系的營養位階。同時，本研究將以自浮式衛星標識籤標識於兩種狐鮫，進行其時空分布之調查。期望透過本研究之執行，能確實掌握淺海狐鮫與深海狐鮫的攝食偏好、營養階層、時空分布、棲地分配利用及生態區位區隔，做為未來管理及保育的參考。
