Description

Abstract
The aim of this project is to establish a comprehensive database encompassing the metabolomics, epigenomics, immunogenomics, and phenomics of white shrimp by collecting broodstock from various sources. This database will serve as a foundation for digital breeding research. In the first year, we will focus on establishing the framework for the digital breeding database. Efforts will begin to collect white shrimp samples from various counties, farms, and strains, ensuring diversity and representativeness. These samples will cover different growth stages, health conditions, and environmental factors, ensuring the broad applicability of the research data.Next, preliminary analyses will be conducted on metabolomics, epigenomics, genomics, and phenomics, focusing on detecting and quantifying key metabolites, genes, and phenotypic data. The ultimate goal is to build a comprehensive multi-omics database. These data will aid in identifying breeding markers related to critical physiological traits of white shrimp, such as growth and disease resistance. To ensure data accuracy and consistency, standardized data collection and processing protocols will be designed and implemented, ensuring stability during future data updates and expansions. Additionally, the project will apply cross-omics techniques to enhance breeding precision, optimizing the accumulation and integration of breeding data through systematic data production and management. A white shrimp phenotyping technology will also be developed, with plans to offer related services to external partners.A model that utilizes large-scale data to support breeding decisions will also be developed, with its efficiency in selecting breeding individuals validated. This effort will help transfer breeding expertise and improve the country's capabilities in data management and phenotypic analysis related to breeding. Additionally, the project will focus on training professionals in the field. These initiatives will promote the sustainable development of the white shrimp industry and enhance the nation's international competitiveness in breeding.
