Abstract:
Pr2NiO4-Sm0.2Ce0.8O2- (PNO-SDC) composite were prepared by electrospinning method and used for cathodic material of intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells (IT-SOFCs). The IT-SOFCs is operated at the temperature between 600 to 800 degrees C. The PNO layer was coated on the SDC/NiO-SDC to prepare an anode-supported single cell and the SOFC performance were investigated. The OCVs performances of PNO-5wt.% and PNO were obtained at 0.71V, 563mWcm(-2) and 0.76V, 260mWcm(-2), respectively at 800 degrees C. Hence, the results exhibit that Pr2NiO4 -5wt. % of SDC fiber can be used as a potential cathode material for IT-SOFCs.
