養殖蝦類常見之二、三病害之原因及其對策(預報)

Abstract

Some cases of prawn diseases were observed and recorded recently in prawn farms in Pingtung area. (1) "Protozoa Ectocommensal": A species of protozoa, Epistylis sp., was found to appear on shell and gill of the diseased prawn. (2) "Ectozoic Algal Growth": The prawns were part1y or fully covered with alga and became less active. inactive. or even died as it became more serious. (3) "Body Cramp": The diseased prawn was affected by spasm. (4) "Red Discoloration": It had the highest death rate. The causes of the last two diseases were still unknown. The descriptions of diseases and abnorml conditions as well as the proposed control methods were given in this paper.
