| dc.description.abstract | A new species of the sergestid shrimp genus Sicyonella Borradaile, 1910 was discovered in a recent expedition to southern Madagascar. The presence of Sicyonella in Madagascar is also a new genus record for the country. The new species has the petasma and thelycum very different from the three known species of the genus, and is also unique in the basal part of the mesial antennular flagellum not being modified in males. | en_US |
