This paper reports upon four species of deep-sea oplophorid shrimps collected off north-east and southern Taiwan at depths of about 100-450 m. All are new to the marine fauna list of Taiwan. Oplophorus gracilirostris and Oplophorus typus are found to have the ability to lock the laterally extended scaphocerites. A key is given for their identification and their colours are fully illustrated. Sexual differences are also discussed.en_US
