dc.description.abstract本文報導臺灣西北部淡水河口64種以不同漁具採自三個地點之魚類。 A total of 64 species were collected by different fishing gears from threelocations in the estuary of Tanshui River on north-western Taiwan, duringMay 1988 and April 1991.Thirteen gobiid species were primary residents whilethe remaining 51 species were secondary residents. In the inner part of theestuary, fishes of larger size including Ariidae(66.26%).Leiognathidae(9.70%)and Mugilidae(9.51%)dominated in the catches of gill net whereas thesmall-sized juveniles of Clupeidae(34.71%),Engraulidae(21.02%),Carangidae(20.35%)and Teraponidae(17.69%)dominated in the catches of surface larvaltrawl net.The fish in the mangrove marsh near Chuwei were dominated byBoleophthalmus pectinirostris though not quantified. On the outer margin ofestuary near Shalung where the entire catches by setted larval bag net belongto juveniles and postlarvae of Mugilidae(56.02%)and Terapon jarbua(21.22%)The seasonal abundance of Arius sp.and Terapon jarbua indicated similar trendthat their population size have declined year after year, resulted probablyfrom the environmental deterioration.en_US
