dc.description.abstractMany metal salts and metal nanoparticles have been found to be effective in inhibiting the growth of many infectious bacteria. The commercial silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) solution was trailed for antibacterial activity against Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Aeromonas hydrophila and Edwardsiella tarda in the present study. The well diffusion tests showed that AgNPs (20μg silver loading) possessed Zone of Inhibition (ZOI) of 14.0±1.5, 7.5±2.5 and 14.5±2.5 mm for V. parahaemolyticus, A. hydrophila and E. tarda, respectively. In addition to assessment of antibacterial activity in medium, it was also found that the dosage of AgNPs range from 1 to 16 ppb were effective for growth inhibition of V. parahaemolyticus in seawater and growth inhibitions of A. hydrophila and E. tarda in freshwater. Therefore, AgNPs can be used as a suitable antibacterial agent to control disease in aquaculture.金屬鹽類或奈米金屬粒子可有效用來抑制感染性細菌生長,本研究應用奈米銀水溶液(AgNPs),針對腸炎弧菌(Vibrio parahaemolyticus)、嗜水性產氣單胞菌(Aeromonas hydrophila)及愛德華氏菌(Edwardsiella tarda),進行抗菌效能評估。奈米銀(20微克),可對腸炎弧菌、嗜水性產氣單胞菌及愛德華氏菌產生抑菌圈,其直徑分別為14.0 ± 1.5、7.5 ± 2.5及14.5 ± 2.5 mm。另外在養殖水體中,抑菌結果顯示,奈米銀為合適的抗菌劑,其建議使用濃度範圍,介於1到16 ppb。依此劑量使用,可有效抑制海水腸炎弧菌、淡水嗜水性產氣單胞菌及愛德華氏菌之生長。en_US
