The effect of dietary supplementation of Pongamia pinnata coated ZnO nanoparticles (Pp-ZnO NPs) was tested on the fingerlings of Pangasius hypophthalmus. A significant increase in thegrowth and higher survival of P. hypophthalmus fingerlings were observed that fed with 12.5 and 25 mg/kg of Pp-ZnO NPs supplemented diet. However, fingerlings fed with 50 mg/kg of Pp-ZnO NPs supplemented diet showed reduced growth and lower survival compared to that of control. The accumulation of Zn was higher in the gut compared to that of liver and muscle. Histological damages in the gut of P. hypophthalmus were observed that fed with 50 mg/kg of Pp-ZnO NPs supplemented diet.en_US
