Abstract: 
In this work, we investigated the effect of spontaneous emission enhancement and strong coupling of 2D
materials with planar-type hyperbolic metamaterials
(P-HMMs). One-dimensional P-HMMs, which support
high k modes and strong coupling, perform better than
common multilayer hyperbolic metamaterials (HMMs).
