Title: | 融入職場英語需求分析與實踐之課程設計行動研究 | Authors: | 林澄億 | Issue Date: | Aug-2018 | Publisher: | 教育部 | Abstract: | 此研究為達到學以致用的教學目標,以培養學生21世紀須具備的國際移動力,於職場英文課結合需求分析,採用行動研究方法,由教師擔任研究者,於107學年度第1學期和第2學期各進行一次行動研究循環。在107學年度第1學期第一個循環中,筆者聯絡103學年度與105學年度曾修過我的職場英文課且目前進入職場工作的同學,針對在工作上使用英文的情況,給予筆者教學內容建議,以協助筆者省思自己的教學成效。經過彙整分析與檢討診斷後的結果,成為擬定教學改進行動計畫的依據,以調整之前設計的教學內容與活動。筆者並諮詢業界專家,詢問調整後的教學內容與活動是否還有不足之處。第2學期期初第二個循環開始時執行計畫,同時仍持續地觀察、評估、檢討和調整教學策略。期末時,再次進行「期末課程意見問卷調查」,並與學生個別訪談,以獲取學生對於調整後的課程之回饋意見。此研究的研究工具包含訪談、教師省思札記、學校舉行的期末教學評鑑結果。筆者希望藉此行動研究所獲得的研究成果,針對教學內容與活動設計,提供同是教授職場英文或專業英文的教師一些參考意見。此外,筆者更希望此行動研究成果,能給予台灣各大學英語課程設計者,無論是通識英語、專業英語,或應用外語系課程,更進一步思考的依據。 The purpose of the study is to enhance students' international mobility and prepare them to meet English requirements in the future internationally-oriented workplace. In this action research study, with learning needs analysis, the teacher-researcher reflected, adjusted and constructed a pedagogy for English for Occupational Purposes. Data were gathered from interviews, teaching logs, and teaching evaluation. Ten students who took my Workplace English course and are working right now were recruited to assist the teacher-researcher to examine and reflect on the pedagogy's effectiveness and adjust the current syllabus accordingly. Another seven students who registered for the course were be randomly chosen and interviewed to investigate their perception of the revised syllabus of Workplace English. This study attempts to provide specific pedagogical suggestions for English educators and tertiary English language course designers. It is also hoped that the findings can shed light on the learner-centered approach to ESP course design proposed by Hutchinson and Waters (2009). |
