A new reef lobster of the genus Enoplometopus A. Milne Edwards, 1862 (Decapoda, Nephropoidea) from the western and southern Pacific

Abstract

A new reef lobster, Enoplometopus crosnieri n.sp., is described based on a Taiwanese spécimen. This new species can be readily distinguished from ail others of the genus by having one intermédiare and one postcervical teeth on the catapace, as well as a distinctive colotation. E. crosnieri is also known from the Timor Sea and French Polynesia. A key to the genus Enoplometopus is also provided.
