The new species appears closest to Aliaporcellana suluensis (dana, 1852), but it can be distinguished from the latter by the shape of rostrum and armature of carpus and palm of the smaller cheliped. Aliaporcellana suluensis is redescribed herewithin based on material from Nansha Islands, South China Sea, and Great Barrier Reef, Australia. |
